Kevin, have you ever seen the documentary film “War Dogs of the Pacific”. If not, you need to watch it. The film is about the marine war dog platoons of World War II and gives heartwarming insight into the relationship these marines had with their dogs. WARNING: A box of tissues is required when viewing this film
I like the pure joy the dogs have on their faces when they receive the water and soldiers in the heat of their combat taking enjoyment giving relief to their personal friends. The gift of water is highly favored to those in the desert. Metaphorically in the soul and physically. “A picture shows more than a thousand words”, this is true. I like how there are different kinds of dogs in your photos. Thank you for continuing to share your journey. You can see the bond between soldier and dog, and different kinds of dogs. They both give relief to to each other. The dog is a help, a necessity in survival and friend and the dog is happy to have water and his owner. It is fabulous!!! Blessings writing.

I know right. “Dad, thirsty…water me now!”
This post shows how dependent they are on their handlers for survival……likewise the handler and troops are reliant on the nose and instincts of that dog.
“Dad, give me water, food and my kong and I will find explosives. O Yeah, I want a belly rub when our day is complete.”
Seems like a good deal to me!
Such beautiful dogs. I love that they’re such a part of the team.
Hi Ellis. It’s so cool to see them so dependent on one another. I love the “field expedient” watering methods.

Thank you. I’m still waiting to hear back from the literary agents that request a full submission. I am hoping once I am picked up and we get it in the hands of a publisher it will be rushed to publication.
