With SO much controversy and conflict going on in todays world; getting your blog is refreshing and gives me a sense of Peace. I also hold these dogs and their handlers in the highest of esteem. Thank You for showing us this world, for bringing to attention our 4 and 2 legged heros and warriors.

Blessings, Julia PS…it is interesting to see the breeds, gear and other changes in the MWD and working K-9 world over the years. This has been an amazing transition to watch.

  4. What beautiful and special dogs. Thanks for posting, Kevin. I didn’t realize military working dogs had tattoos. How is that done, btw?

It is done at Lackland Airforce Base Jenny. I don’t have a tatoo myself so I am not exactly sure on the procedure. But I imagine a dog is simliar to a human tatoo.

      • Ah, it looks like it was written in perhaps a permanent dye. I wasn’t sure if they actually got a tattoo. I would imagine they would give the pooch a sedative of some sort.

Thank you for sharing your blog. It is very inspirational. Have a wonderful day, Kevin.
